In the Beginning
Having been formally trained for years in Japan, Sushi chef Hiroyuki Matsushima's dream was to one day open up his own Japanese restaurant. Chef Matsushima wanted a restaurant where customers could enjoy the freshest fish without spending an arm or leg. Chef Matsushima finally realized his dreams when he opened up "Matsu Sushi" in the fall of 1999.
A Family Affair
If you think everyone that works at Matsu Sushi looks alike, you're absolutely right! The restauant is a family-owned and family-ran. Hiroyuki Matsushima works as the sushi chef while his wife Kazuko and daughter Kuniko cook up the rest of the restaurant's authentic japanese cuisine. Two other daughters, Yurika and Yae, serve as the friendly waitresses.
